Coed Demon Sluts
by Jennifer Stevenson

I was a little hesitant when I saw this title, but I soon realized this was a comedy. This book is a humorous romp in fantasy and will get a laugh out of anyone who needs a fun, light revenge story. The author has sent me a link to share with readers to get the first book free in the series.

Description:
Aren’t you tired of doing everything right?
Wouldn’t you like a second chance to go back and do it wrong?
Coed Demon Sluts: There’s always room on the team.

Beth is fifty, dumped by her husband for the babysitter, jobless, skill-less, homeless, cashless. She’s about to jump in front of a bus when she meets Delilah, recruiter for the “Regional Office” and receives an offer she can’t refuse: become a succubus for the Second Circle of Hell. Heartbroken, Beth decides to use the powers of her new sex demon body and the remains of her thrown-away life to track down her ex-husband and find out why he dumped her.

But Beth can’t get any information without help from her team, and she can’t accept their help until she learns something about what she has become—a coed demon slut—who she’s always really been, and who she wants to be from now on.

The first adventure in the Coed Demon Sluts series!

Jennifer Stevenson finds new uses for old sex demons. She feeds crows, eats bacon, and pretends she’s fixing up her house. She lives in Chicago with her stagehand husband and two cats. A Note from the Author:Jennifer Stevenson

Coed Demon Sluts came to me as the sequel series to an earlier series called Slacker Demons. That was a straight-up paranormal romcom series about incubi (guy sex demons), who are way simpler and easier to please than succubi. I had finished Slacker Demons–married them all off–and their Lair stood empty.

I had gotten quite fond of that Lair. How could I reuse it in a new series? Obviously, put in girl sex demons.

Only, when I began thinking about what would make a woman choose to become a succubus, I realized that her reasons might be almost anything except sex, booze, and weed all day long.

A series of informal interviews with randomly-met women showed me how many really complex and interesting reasons a woman might have to make this choice–and those reasons suggested transformative and empowering stories. Feminist stories, actually.

Whoa. Coed Demon Sluts would be radical feminist women’s fiction. Who knew?
